Pizza Chef

The Role:

We are looking for a Café Pizza Chef to join our team starting on a zero-hour contract, typically working 1–3 shifts per week. This role involves both team and solo working, so the ability to confidently manage daily kitchen operations independently is essential. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are key.

Responsibilities:

• Become proficient at preparing all menu items to a high standard and in a timely manner
• Prepare a wide variety of ingredients required for service
• Confidently manage service, prep, and portering
• Inventory management – including ordering and stock rotation
• Open and close the kitchen independently
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organisation

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 months’ experience working in a kitchen
• Strong knowledge of basic food preparation and cooking techniques
• Availability for weekends and evenings
• Knowledge of food safety and allergen awareness
• Understanding of cleaning and sanitation practices
• Strong attention to detail and time management
